1. Do you have a GitHub account?

   • If no, go to https://github.com/signup and sign up, then verify email.

   • If yes, go to Step 1

2. Is your GitHub account using your @ewu.edu or @eagles.ewu.edu email?

   • If YES, skip Step 4.

   • If no, proceed to Step 2

3. Add your @ewu.edu or @eagles.ewu.edu email to your GitHub profile

   • See Add email address to your GitHub account

4. Verify your @ewu.edu email address

   • See Verifying your email address

5. Go to https://github.com/education/students

6. Click the Join GitHub Education button

7. Answer What is the name of your school? with:

   • `Eastern Washington University (https://www.ewu.edu)

8. Complete Application by clicking the Continue button

9. Verify your status at https://education.github.com/discount_requests/application
